About me
I used Qigong to help me heal from burnout after years of working in TV and advertising. For years I had been living in fight or flight mode as I juggled a high-pressure creative career with being a single parent and caring for my mother at the end of her life.
Practicing this ancient technology of movement, breathwork and meditation helped me navigate ill health, restored my energy, and instilled a greater connection with the natural world. I found Qigong to be accessible, beneficial, and fun and wanted to share what I'd learned with others. So I trained with master teacher John Munro of Long White Cloud Qigong, New Zealand in the Wah Family style of Qigong. A tradition rooted in martial arts & Chinese Medicine.
In parallel to this, I am also a proponent of sound therapy and the use of sound as medicine. Having worked in and around the music industry for many years and being a bit of a frustrated drummer, I was initially drawn to learn to play the gong. I am currently studying Naad Yoga - the Yoga of Sound with renowned gong master Leo Cosendai.
I offer sound baths in person and online, using a variety of instruments including symphonic and wind gongs along with Tibetan and crystal bowls.
